super-moon Super Moon

On November 18, 2016, the cloud had cleared and I was able to see the Super Moon, both at its rising as well as later at 2.30am. A Super Moon occurs about every 60 years when the Moon’s orbit brings it to its point closest to Earth. The full moon, at 2.30am, was so bright that I couldn’t look directly at it for more than a few seconds at a time. It lite up the whole countryside with bright white light as clear as day but not yellow like the Sun. I’ve combined both images on the one canvas to create a contrast.
